1884  -  Ringling Bros established
the 5 Ringling Bros had a wagon show out of Baraboo Wisconsin
guided by Yankee Robinson

the Ringlings adhered to honesty and fair play causing other showmen
of the day to call them a Sunday school show

1890  -  show put on rails

1892  -  31 railroad cars (through 12 states)

1897-1902  -  Barnum and Bailey show in Europe

1907  -  Gus Ringling dies

7-8-1907 -  Ringling buys Barnum and Bailey

1911  -  Otto Ringling dies

1916  -  Al Ringling dies

1918  -  Henry Ringling dies

1918  -  Alf T, Charles and John Ringling decide to combine shows

1919  -  Ringling Bros and BB combine shows
winter quarters closed in Baraboo and the two shows were shipped
to Bridgeport Connecticut

3-29-1919  -  First show in New York at Madison Square Gardens

100 railroad cars, 1500 performers and employees,
comprehensive collection of wild animals like Noah's ark

1919  -  Alf T Ringling died

1920  -  Street Parade discontinued

1926  -  Charles Ringling died

1927  -  John Ringling moves circus quarters to Sarasota Florida

1929  -  John Ringling buys the American Circus Corporation:
Hagenbeck Wallace, John Robinson, AL G. Barnes, Sparks and Sells Floto

1929  -  Market Crash

1929  -  Mable dies

12-2-1936  -  John Ringling dies

Show is owned by Charles Ringling's heirs and John Ringling North

7-16-1956  -  Last RB and BB Big Top Show

1957  -  Irvin Feld buys RB and BB transforms to Indoor show

1960  -  RB returns to 100% rails

1959-1990s  Open January in Florida, northward to Madison Square Gardens in Spring, Arenas all over until November, Winter Quarters
